Fixed fee Services

Law Advocates are a support Law Advocacy Firm that offers fixed rate fees to get you as a litigant in person into court to the first hearing, covering all paperwork and assistance at a price that you can afford.

All fees are paid in advance in increments of ten hours. Any fees that are unused we will refund and your account can be viewed at any time. We do not send endless unnecessary emails and aim to get as quick access to a resolution as possible .

In many cases we are often able to assist to progress matters between both parties in creating a parenting plan which avoids the need to attend court in person. The parenting plan would be agreed and signed off and then an application would be made for a consent order to formalise the agreement.

 

Step One; Book a one-hour consultation with a consultant to discuss the parameters of your case. This fee is £75 for one hour. The consultation will be arranged at a time to suit you and consultantions can be arranged in or out of working hours.

Step Two; Paperwork preparation for court;

A guideline costing for reading time and preparation of court paperwork is £750 (ten hours work). This is preparation and not the full application.

This fee takes you to the stage of gaining an understanding of your case, setting up MIAM (only emergency hearing application cases can be made without offering MIAM, this will be assessed in your consultation, MIAM fees are not included in our fees) you will receive full support in what to expect and assisted through what to expect at your MIAM meeting should the meeting go ahead. In some cases it may not be deemed appropriate or a requirement.

 

Step Three; Completion of MIAM;

Once the chosen regulated MIAM officer has signed off the relevant paperwork then we are set to assist in the final stages of your application for court.

This will include the relevant paperwork, a chronology and a position statement to support your application. We will assist in guiding you as to what statements you may require supporting and strengthening your application.

 

Step Four; First hearing;

Acting as a litigant in person we can assist you in court but depending on the parameters of your case we may instruct legal counsel.

 

Estimated fees for assistance and paperwork (albeit that bespoke and complicated cases can differ) are estimated at approx £750 to the first hearing, not including mediation or court costs.
